Reading Partners
Reading Partners is dedicated to transforming struggling young readers into confident readers who are excited about learning.  Their mission is to help children become lifelong readers by empowering communities to provide individualized instruction with measurable results.  How they do it:  focus on children from low-income communities; give one-on-one instruction at the student’s reading level; and provide a way for volunteers to give a small amount of their time to make a huge difference in a child’s life.

The S.M. Wright Foundation
The Wright Family established the S.M. Wright Foundation in 1998 to provide support and stability to underprivileged children and less fortunate families through hunger relief, economic empowerment, and assistance in the areas of education, health, and social services.

Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation
Their mission is to make Vickery Meadow a great community and to help its children reach their full potential.

Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity
Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity transforms neighborhoods by engaging families and community partners in creating affordable housing.

Snowball Express
Snowball Express provides hope and new memories, building friendships for the children of fallen military who have died since 9/11.  There are more than 10,000 such children.

America’s Huey 091 Foundation
America’s Huey 091 Foundation helps America’s most recently disabled veterans improve the quality of their lives by restoring their freedom and dignity of mobility by providing advanced mobility devices to our nation’s wounded heroes.

Medisend International
Medisend International is a global humanitarian organization that supports under resourced hospitals in developing countries with a multi-dimensional approach to improving community health.  Medisend’s mission includes education, training, technical support and management technologies in Biomedical Equipment Repair, as well as the distribution of life-saving medical supplies and biomedical equipment in long-term partnership and emergency relief programs.

Child Abuse Prevention Center
The Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Center’s mission is to build healthy families and a strong Dallas community by preventing child abuse and neglect.

The Stew Pot
Established by First Presbyterian Church Dallas in 1975, the Stewpot offers a safe haven for homeless and at-risk individuals of Dallas, providing resources for basic survival needs as well as opportunities to start a new life.

The Salesmanship Club
Founded in Dallas in 1920, Salesmanship Club Youth and Family Centers is well-known for its work with troubled and at-risk kids and their families. The Salesmanship Club of Dallas annually sponsors the  HP Byron Nelson PGA golf tournament in Dallas.

The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation
The foundation was formed to ensure that Woodrow’s reputation for excellent education is continued for generations to come. The Woodrow Wilson High School Community Foundation is committed to supporting educations programs at Woodrow, as well as at the schools in the feeder pattern, in order to uphold the highest standards possible for public educations in the city of Dallas.
