Dallas Breakfast Group

Welcome to the website of the Dallas Breakfast Group.  On this site’s pages you will learn a little more about us and our commitment to supporting our local institutions in Dallas. And, if you are a Dallas business executive, we hope you will consider becoming a member of the DBG.

This year we will be celebrating our twenty-ninth year as an organization. Our mission today is the same as it was back in 1986 – to encourage more participation by Dallas business leaders in local elections and civic affairs. We also continue to work for more civic involvement at the local level.

As our first chair said in describing the DBG, “Dallas has always received a strong level of commitment to public service from its business leaders. The Dallas Breakfast Group is a personification of the commitment to the volunteer public service from the private sector that has been a tradition in Dallas. We believe it is a tradition worth continuing at the highest possible level of achievement.”

That is still true today.

Our focus remains non-partisan in our approach to local issues. We do not endorse candidates or issues.  Rather, we ask members to be as active as they can be in local campaigns and local issues.  And, they have been. Many of our members regularly contribute to campaigns, several have been elected to office, and others have taken leadership roles in many of our local institutions.

As the incoming chair of the DBG, it will be a privilege to serve as the ninth chair of the organization and work with our 150 plus members. As we move forward, the focus of the Dallas Breakfast Group will remain on the local level to assure we have strong local institutions which work to the benefit of our citizens and area.
